Is my charging port going bad?

Hi! About a couple months ago my Oppo Find 5 (OPPO X909) started having issues with charging and eventually reached the point where it won't charge anymore. I thought it was the battery at first (which I may replace anyways assuming I find a way to fix this issue) but then I found that the charging port itself was the issue. I would have to bend the charger in a certain way just to get a connection or it would just stay plugged in but not charging. I tried going to a couple different cell phone repair services but none would work on an oppo phone. Would it be best at this point to get a newer phone (after taking out the internal SD) or do I have a chance of repairing it?
