Toyota 94 SR5 will not start on first cranks when cold.

When I try to start my truck for the first time at any time during the day, it will not fire until the 2nd-4th crank. Often when it does finally fire, it barely catches. However, once it does start up, the motor runs perfect...automatic choke kicks in, no sputtering or other indications of issues. I don't know if this makes sense or not, but it feels as if the fuel has evaporated out of the injectors and so it takes a few cranks to get it to the cylinders and flowing again. Lastly, once it has been run, the motor fires right up first crank even if it has been sitting for several hours. 137,000 odometer.

On the next couple fill ups I'm plan to mix in some Lucas injector cleaner additive. Any other suggestions or advice is greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

There's a check valve in either the fuel line or the pump. I think the pump. This helps hold the pressure. When bad, it will bleed down and cause issues like this.
