Why is new battery not charging
New battery..not dell..but Rayco. Inserted, had power..got home plugged in cord to charge battery. Didn't seem to be charging, and drained to 6% super fast. What is wrong?

Hi!
You could drain the battery all the way down and then let it fully recharge . Do this a couple of times, so the cells and the chips get formatted properly. If you can't get it to work, you might be dealing with a bad part.

I've had the same exact problem with a replacement battery for a D830, the battery I bought was faulty and I ended up spending some extra money to get a legit part.
