I installed a new lcd and the screen is still black!

I brought a new screen and lcd for my lg optimus g pro like a week ago. I installed them but the lcd isn't showing anything, I hear everything and when I touch the screen it responds. I don't know if I installed anything wrong but I really need to know if it's broken so I can buy a new on. Btw I brought the screen and lcd both separate.
