1.) the camera is currently being used in another app
2.) your camera is updating
3.) shutdown and relog into your device
4.) exit out of all tabs and/or refresh
5.) reinstall your camera app
6.) don't use your camera at this time and try later

Nothing works no matter what I do, I reset my phone to factory but its messed up still, :/ I may just take it to a shop

another one solutions for switch camera front to rear, press switch button and minimize the app and again go to app.. hope its work.... Thanks

ad 1 - no, i;ve got clean install
ad 2 - no, I've got last updates installed (error occured even after clean factory reset)
ad 3 - no effect
ad 4 - no effect
ad 5 - I can't uninstall factory installed CAMERA app (error occurs on other apps from store, too)
ad 6 - great advice - I'll try on my next phone :)

Problem solved by service - changing mainboard was needed :( Nothing about software.

I have a Nokia Lumia 830 cell phone running Windows 10 Mobile Version: 1607, build 1480, firmware: 02040.00021.15235.53001, it has been a perfect device until now. Took a normal photo, tried to send via messaging, "Can't Send", tried sending a couple of times. Went to take another photo, with message "Something went wrong" If you need it, here's the error code: 0xC00D3704. Also noticed the flashlight app no longer works. Can't do anything with the camera app. I'm guessing this is a driver problem but have no way to correct, update or reset. HELP

This error comes as CAM is already in progress in different APPS.
check the processors in the task manager ,if any skype and any cam related applications are running then END TASK and check the camera hope it will start working

Mi teléfono Microsoft Lumia 950 tenia ese problema y lo corregí cambiando la cámara frontal de otro teléfono dañado de la pantalla, fue la única forma.
