How to check for short in water damaged board with no heat

I have an iPhone 6 board that was water damaged. Put it through the cleaner and still won't power on. There's no heat to direct me to a possible short. I'm still learning board level repair.

Is there an efficient way to check for a possible short or bad component (without going through each one) without overheating on the board to guide you? Thanks

Typically, when doing water damage, its important to note exactly where corrosion and nastiness is before running it through the ultrasonic cleaner. This will give you a starting point for when you are in this situation. When working on a water damaged device, I often find and replace the damaged components before putting it into the ultrasonic cleaner. If you clean up the damage, you don't know where to work. if something is super crusty when it comes in, make sure it tests good before getting rid of all of your directions and clues as to what is damaged.

I appreciate the reply. So you replace even small caps or inductors if they look bad before putting it in the cleaner? Also do you have better success with a certain time frame in the cleaner (example 1 minute...4 minutes? Obviously common sense play a big role in checking the board after but just got a new one in, still playing around with it.
