Randy Vawter change the EGR value or the EGR valve? What exact year and engine size is your Malibu? why do you think you have to change it?

Randy Vawter this video shows how to change the EGR valve. Here is a decent pictorial on how to clean it. You may not have to change it depending on what your real issues are.
