I recently bought a used nikon d 5100 and flash doesnt work in auto mode,but if a take a picture of bright object such as sun or a bulb,it starts working like normal.What could be the problem? anyone??????

have you checked you flash compensation settings, try doing a factory reset on your camera to see if there is a setting preventing this from working.
