I am using the orignal fast charger and lead to recharge my phone. It is 14 months old.
When I plug it in to recharge now it goes to slow charge and takes 5 hours and only after unplugging and plugging several times can I finally get it to fast charge.

Clean the port with a bit of IPA on a bit of qtip. Let me know if it helps.

Also try another cable, and yeah the ports do get clogged with gunk which has to be manually removed using tweezers or something equivalent.
