Why isn’t the flash firing?
My camera's flash isn't going off. What's wrong?

The flash will only fire if the lighting conditions require it. Press the lightning bolt arrow icon on the top of the camera. Press up or down to select the lightning bolt arrow icon with an “A” next to it; this is the auto flash mode.
