Bluetooth shut down. BT not available
Hi People! How are you?
The bluetooth on my new 27" i5 iMac shut down. The keyboard
and mouse stopped working. If I connect a USB keyboard
/mouse - that works.
The Bluetooth icon in the top menu bar has a ~ through it.
Clicking on it shows Bluetooth: not available.
"No information found" if I click on Bluetooth in the System
Profiler.
No bluetooth in the System Preferences pane.
I pulled the plug on the iMac and restarted it and it worked
again. But Im still weary. My Mac experience is now tarnished ;-)
Is this a HW or SW problem? I hope SW
Thanks for an answer!
Update
I have 10 + Years of PC experience. I work in a tech environment. I am tech savy. The batteries should really not be the problem. I'm not one of those non tech capable Mac users. But paying 2000 € for a computer brings with it some expectations...
I just hope it's a SW issue

First rule of computer diagnostics: Check all the cables! In a wireless environment that would be batteries. We get all kinds of DIYrs here, and without you stating you'd checked the batteries, I have no way knowing your experience level. Sometimes the simplest thing IS the solution. N
