Do you have to buy cover for the logic board?
I don't know if you need covers for the bare logic board

Do you have the Logic Board exposed on the iPhone? If so then Yeah I would get it covered a static charge could kill the Logic Board and it could easily be killed. If you have the Logic Board out and exposed then I would place it in an Antistatic Bag to preserve it chances are that if its been exposed for any type of long term its already been damaged in one way or the other. I think hes reffering to inside the phone. Plus static is something i find rather rare as i have ram and gpus just sitting around and they work with no issues
RAM isnt as potent to do damage to. If you have read anything through ATLAS then you would know to put everything that has Boards or where circuitry runs in an Anti Static Bag.

If it never came with covers for it which i dont think it does no you dont need them as i dont even thing you ca but them and it would be stupid too

so you have a bare logic board that you're trying to install on a phone?
I don't think not having covers is going to cause you an issue, but what I do is place electrical tape or heat tape over the circuits where the heat shields would normally be and leave it at that
