@mayer - He wanted the fastest ;-} The OWC blade SSD's are a bit slower. But! they are more readily available.
@danj I've tried to buy a few blades from apple. Bend over and grab your ankles and brace yourself ;=)
@mayer - Yes! Very expensive! The exchange price is better, but you need to be an authorized service center for the discount and it only helps when you are facing a bad one, not adding.
@danj Then most of the ASPs require that they do the installation and that's another $300.
@mayer - Yep! Can't win if you go that route. Best to do a bit of googling to find a junker. As Apple has moved on to a different design in the newest models, we should start seeing some OEM parts hitting the market place.

If you are talking about the PCIe blade SSD Apple uses, you have no choices as Apple uses a custom design.
Apple does not offer it as a replacement part only as an exchange, so you'll need to find one from a parts system.
You might want to think this through as opening the newer 'Thin series' systems are a bear!If you don't use the proper tools and techniques you can damage the display which would be an expensive Opps!
