I have mackbook air early 2014 has liquid damage I cleaned the mother board ,and it does power on now,but there is no back light . The wired things is it’s working fine when I disconnect the flex cable between the motherboard and charging port .i tried new flex cable new charging port but still have the same issue .what should I do?help please

If that is the case you may have a faulty screen or other board issue. When you say you "cleaned" it, can you describe how? These are questions I usually ask my own customers before diagnosing so I figured I would do the same here. When you say you have no "backlight", judging from the fact it displays an image via HDMI but not the screen on the Mac, I would say you have some liquid damage around the LCD connector that would need to be addressed., and possibly a failed screen due to said damage. Some pictures of the LCD connector would go a long way in helping...
You may also have damage in other areas of the board as well.
I see the original post was from 2017. Is this the same issue?
