My n64 shows no image/audio, is my cartridge reader broken?

Block Image

So not sure if you can see it, sry for that photo, its late and I’m doing this on my phone, but basically there are 24 pins in the cartridge reader (missing the 14th) and the cartridge has 25, is that normal or is my console done for?

Btw if its not normal and can be repaired I’ll gladly listen to any advice but I suppose is beyond my casual skills at repairing stuff.

Edit: Ok I guess I should post more details, it turns on perfectly and Im pretty sure the game is working so dont think its that te problem, the screen blinks once sometimes when turning the console on so its sending video, but not loading the game (I guess thats the explanation??).

Thanks in advance!

It’s not missing a pin, you can even see the same thing here:

How to clean the Nintendo 64 cartridge slot

While you have the console apart, take off the cartridge slot (it pulls straight off the motherboard) and clean clean clean (ipa + cotton swab) get all that gunk out of there. It’s probably just dust and grime built up in there.
