HDMI not displaying signal on Samsung NU1700 not working right
I was wondering if anyone can help me. I am beyond irritated, frustrated, etc. I had this Samsung 4kTV for 3 months working perfectly fine until recently. I was watching stuff on Roku, then I decide to watch Hulu and my screen starts acting up go a old 90s cartoon I was watching. I was playing my Switch too had no issues playing Zelda.
I had the picture set in stretch mode while watching my show because I like watching old shows in full screen. Then the image got jacked up a bit and it was extremely zoomed in to the point where you couldn't see the characters faces, entire body, Etc so I guess it was a glitch on the Roku or the TV. After that I get a HDCP error that's been stressing me out for days.
I tried every trouble shooting method in the book. For Roku and Samsung. I even did the secret factory reset method and the unplug you're TV for 10 minutes method, etc. Nothing worked. I feel like I'm wasting my time with this TV. I feel like throwing it away because I spent 400.00 on it but I don't wanna feel bad due to the HDMI outputs not working. Now if I put my Roku on my brothers TV. It works fine. My switch won't work on my TV anymore but I put it on my parents 4ktv it worked fine. So I don't know what to do at this point. The Roku screen saver is even displaying a gittering image while moving.
What can I do to resolve my issue? I really don't want to waste this TV. So far only HDMI 3 and 2 work with Roku. Express Plus. But it doesn't work with HDMI 1. But if hook up my consoles like my Wii U or my Switch. It says it's powered on but I'm getting no signal what's so ever on all of the ports. But if I hook up my Roku on HDMI 2 and 3 It works perfectly fine but keep getting HDCP errors.
I'm at the end of my rope with this thing. Roku signal works but no game consoles or other devices like Firestick. I'm afraid to get a new HDMI cable or a splitter and them not working. If anyone can help me with on how to get my hdmi stuff working again I'd appreciate it. I even called Samsung's customer support and they were nice and all but I feel like I'm not getting much help.
I bought this TV at Best Buy during Holiday season and Its my first TV and I couldn't afford a warranty and some warranty don't cover damage which I don't have but I know my HDMI works but the cables don't want to corroperate with me and someone on Samsung live chat told me to use High-Speed HDMI or Premium Certified HDMI cables on my TV what ever that means. If anyone has the same TV as me and had fixed it can you tell how? All I want to watch is TV this will be the second TV I've been through if this ones broken.
