Why is the home button not working?

first, i think, the best way to fix it asap is send it to the repair center - but if you want to try it by yourself, you can try following options:

• Power off your device
• Power it back and hold down the Volume Up, Home/Bixby, and Power keys
• When you see the Android laying down, wait for 30 seconds until it boots into the Recovery Menu
• From here, use the volume up/down keys to highlight "Wipe Cache partition" and select it with the power key
