Screen and keyboard not working on start up

When I turn my laptop on, the fans start up and it sounds normal however the screen doesn’t turn on and the lights flash on the keyboard for a second then go off, the lights on the keyboard such as the caps lock and num lock don’t illuminate when pressed. Therefore if the keyboard is also not working I can’t use any of the usual fixes for a black screen issue on Toshiba laptops.

my laptop model is Satellite L50-B

Any help would be appreciated

Hi Craig

You could try and reset your laptop by draining the power, by removing your battery and pressing the power button for 20-30 times and on the last keep it in for a minute or longer. Do not put the battery back in and reboot. Take the power supply and plug it in and then start it up without battery. it could work for the display, I am just not sure of the keyboard.

Good luck and please advise if it has improved?
