Even though this is an old thread, I wanted to give my experiences. I am in my 50s and have been a tech person my whole life so I have used cell phones, touch screens, etc. much more than most people. I started realizing about a year ago, that when I was touching my Ipad screen, my fingers were burning. So I bought an apple pencil which helped a bit. Fast forward a year and the pain I get from my iphone screen, apple watch, apple macbook, etc. is unbearable. I am at the point where I cannot touch the screen anymore. It seems to be the worst when I am outside- I also live right by a cell tower and there are smart meters surrounding me. I have bought a trifield meter and see how much rf radiation, etc. these devices are giving off. Way too much.
At this point, when I touch the iphone (mini & 12 max), my fingers immediately start burning and tingling. Then the tingling travels up my arm and goes to my neck. It then travels down my spinal cord and causes severe aching in my lower back. This happens within a few minutes of touching the screen. Simply unthinkable!!! I was having terrible neck pain and I realized that it's all from the electric or RF coming off of these devices. Once I stopped using the touchscreens, the neck pain has went away. I am now in the process of having all devices wired instead of using wifi. I cannot even type of my laptop anymore because of the severe pain from the RF being emitted from my macbook. I have tested all of these devices with a trifield meter and they are all in the 'high' level of RF emissions so I am not making up this info.
There is currently a lawsuit against Apple (and Samsung). Plaintiffs claim that Apple devices are giving off more RF than is a allowed by that states recommendations.
These devices are poison. Even the corrupt WHO says that RF radiation (from cell phones) is most likely carcinogenic. Nuff said. Goodbye technology.

I get the same experience with my Samsung S10 + phones and when I am using the TouchPad on my HP laptop. Feels like continuous electric shock through my hands and fingers. Very uncomfortable

When My fingers get cold & numb they ache.if I use my iPhone or iPad the screen zaps them like little shocks of electricity from a bad wire. It hurts more.
I’ve also had magnets stick to my left chest just above my heart. Had a magnetized name badge while working in catering at a college, drove me nuts to wear it on my left side. It always stuck to my chest. Making my clothing look wonky. I’ve also had 13 brain surgeries at base of my brain from cyst that forms in my spinal cord & brain stem. And a heart attack at 45. Often wonder if magnets effected my heart since they stick to me right above my heart. I think Reynauds causes achy fingers I’m not sure why electronic screens electrocute my cold numb aching fingers & thumb.

It's probably experiencing "leakage current" from the wall-wart supply. It can be on the order of 50 to 70 volts; not electrocution level but not good. Us a AC voltmeter to measure between what you are touching to earth ground. Or to a chair or furniture where you are sitting. I wouldn't be surprised if you see voltage across those surfaces. If you do, try another wall-wart power supply. It's not really that dangerous unless you were standing in water in your bare feet. Ben Franklin would find this very interesting.
Add your own "ground" to the outer case of the laptop or tablet just to see what's going on. Set the metallic portion of your device on a piece of aluminum foil and ground the corner of the foil to a faucet or the metal side of an appliance. If the problem goes away, you have leakage current through the frame of your device. Get a different power supply! These supplies are built under very suspicious quality control for next to nothing, so don't be surprised that leakage current is high.
