Insignia tablet won't turn on

My tablet doesn't power on. Please help

What is the model number of the tablet?

Does it give any indications at all when the charger is connected and switched on?

Thank you for your response. The model mumber is NS-P10W8100.

Each time i connect the charger the red light would turn on and after 15. Min. The light wouldn't stay on. I tried different outlets and same results. I tried resetting by holding down the power button still wouldn't turn on. Not sure what else to do. Thank you

Hi @maki74 ,

The charge light turns off when the battery is fully charged so at least it proves that something is working.

If you haven’t already done so, try the reset procedure - scroll down to ''reset from startup'' section and see if that works in turning on the tablet.

I think that the manual means the Power button and the Volume Down button ( shown as Vol - ) should be held operated together

If that still doesn’t work, how old is the tablet?

There is a 12 month limited manufacturer’s warranty on the device.

If the warranty period is still valid follow the directions (p.75 of the manual) as to what to do to obtain warranty service.

If the tablet is out of warranty it will have to be opened and the problem further diagnosed. For example it may be something as simple as a faulty power button or perhaps it could be reset by disconnecting the battery and discharging the systemboard (by holding the power button operated for about 30 seconds to drain any residual power in the system) and then reconnecting the battery.

If the tablet won’t turn on at all, then the problem may be electrical in nature. Try exchanging the charging cord and/or battery.
