Hello everyone,
i am having a problem on my iPhone 7 where occasionally they wifi icon will be grayed out in control centre and settings. From my research this seems to be a hardware problem but I’m not sure which part needs to be replaced exactly. I’ve attached a screenshot of some of the options that come up for antenna replacement on amazon. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Greyed out Wi-Fi will not be fixed by replacing the antenna. With the IPhone 7 there are two IC’s that can cause this problem.
1. The Wi-Fi IC. This is the most common IC to fail. It will not be a cheap repair.
2. The audio IC. This is not the common problem but if there is any sign of audio problems, or you have had the audio IC repaired I would not rule it out.
Do not waste your money and time on antenna replacements. This problem will have to be addressed by an experienced repairer.

@imicrosoldering thanks for your reply! My microphone is also defective so would that mean the audio ic is damaged? I am comfortable replacing these parts myself as I have done a bunch of screen repairs(with home button swap etc). Thanks again
These are the things that point us to an audio IC problem on the 7 series.
· Callers can't hear you
· You can’t hear callers
· Voice memos are greyed out
· Sound doesn't record on videos
· Siri can't hear you
· You hear static on calls
· Speakerphone doesn't work
· Phone takes a very long time to boot
This repair requires microsoldering, so if you haven’t got the equipment and knowledge you would need to take it to a reputable repair shop.
A greyed out Wi-Fi is defiantly going to need microsoldering no matter what IC is causing it.
What if Wi-Fi is greyed out only for about 5min after phone was turned off then turned on again, and after that 5min time, Wi-Fi is working as it should be, finding available Wi-Fi’s, have correct speeds etc. Is it mean Wi-Fi IC have to be replaced?
@luk45z have you tried resetting the phone to factory? mine started up with the wifi greyed out and it didn't come on after a while. Also, check if your botto microphone works as mentioned in the comment above
