What do I replace for screen coating damage?
It wasn’t dropped or anything but the screen got more and more ‘flaky’. Seems to be something to do with the coating.
Which component should I replace?

The glass is replaceable you can get the part on eBay for less than $18, just do a search for “glass & A1369”.

By glass do you mean the entire lcd panel? Looking at the repair videos I don’t see how you can separate the glass from the lcd matrix
Yeah I'm not sure what he means these are laminated well together. To fix that you'd have to get the screen assembly replaced..
