Display connection port bracket is falling, is it solderable?

The display connection port bracket was falling down when I disassembled the display screen on my 2009 iMac 27, please see pictures attached. My question is: can it still be soldered back or the logic board is gone no matter what?

Hi there,

I tried to do the soldering work on the new connector yesterday, but turns out that the iMac won’t turn on at all. Reviewing the whole process, the only thing I can think of is that those cables like power on, fan, temp, etc. are all connected to the logic board during soldering process, will this cause the board shortening or could be something else?

Thanks for any advise.

@hru1207 be sure that you soldered the connector 100% without any short. If there is a short in an y pin you might get no power to the motherboard
