Some keys not working on my keyboard

Hi

I ve got the keys 7, u, j, m not working on my MacBook Air 13 keyboard. I have tried to change the keyboard but I still have the same problem. I have changed the trackpad flex cable but still the same. I did reset SMC, PRAM…with no luck, I also did check in accessibility that I don t have enabled mousse keys. I don t know what s wrong, could it be caused by a swollen battery ? How can I check it and be sure it s the cause without buying a new battery ?

I have tried without the battery and I still have the issue. It s working fine with a usb keyboard. Could it be an issue with Trackpad as the keyboard connect to the logic board via the trackpad ? or Logic board ?

This is usually caused by a small liquid spill shorting out a section of your keyboard.

Here’s how to replace the keyboard (your other alternative is to replace the upper case).

Yes some liquid spilled on the Macbook. I have replaced the keyboard with a new one already but still have the same issue. Track pad flex cable has been changed too, the only thing I have not changed yet is the trackpad so I wonder if it s not that.

The problem is still with the same group of keys (after keyboard change)?

@mayer Yes the issue is still with the same keys after the keyboard change.
