What kind of component is this?

This component was burnt out, what is the name of it? And where can I buy another small component to replace? The numbers on the component are 68 C4D

That is a tantalum capacitor.

C7373 - 68UF 20% 16V, Case-D2E-SM Mouser offers them.

@danj , I understand but what would the ESR be? I’m seeing ones with different rating such as 100, 50, 70mOhms and a few others

ESR Meter is not what I would use, I would use a proper capacitor meter. If you use ESR you need a known good cap to compare against.

As far as finding the cap you'll need to speak with Mouser or other parts house. I often just locate the needed component from a junker board to use instead.
