Why do my DSiXL power indicator and lower screen flash then turn off?

When I turn my DSiXL on, it flashes the LED for about half a second. It’s blue, so it’s charged. The lower screen flashes lines, with a black spot.

Hi!

Common issue for Nintendo DS Lite.

This always indicated (for NDS Lite) that the ribbon cable is not correctly seated and causes exactly this error.

You need to reseat the ribbon cable for the lower screen.
