Two lcd/digitizer assemblys have ended up with this problem. After a few weeks after a successful install, the iPad suddenly becomes nonresponsive to touch but works otherwise. Any advice??

Did you ever get this fixed? I had a similar issue at my shop in which digis were going dead for seemingly no reason, it turned out that the frame of the iPad was bent just enough to hurt the digi after a couple weeks of use. Left us with a reasonably unhappy customer, but after correcting the bend we haven’t seen them since. Definitely check the frame for bends and try correcting that.
