Flashlight on when plugged in

I am hoping someone can help me. I dropped my phone in water. At first I tried the rice trick, which did not work. So then I took it apart and cleaned/dried everything out. There was some corrosion which I cleaned up. Now when I plug my phone in the flashlight comes on but will not power up. Any recommendations would be great. Thank you in advance.
