How to dispose of old possibly punctured battery?

I replaced an iPhone SE 1st gen battery today. I started with the battery charged below 20%, of course! Then I had an unlucky moment with the strong adhesive strips under the old battery, so I had to heat/floss/pry the it out. Unfortunately during removal I ripped a 1cm hole in the black outer layer of the battery with my prying tool. I think I also saw a small smoke, not sure though.

Question: what should I do next to keep everyone safe? Thanks so much in advance!

The old (possibly) ruptured battery is currently wrapped in aliminium foil, wrapped in bubble wrap and another plastic bag.

P.s. I have replaced the battery in another iPhone SE before, and then the adhesive strips were in my favor.
