MacBook won’t power on

Hello,

Today I received a cheap power cord I ordered off amazon. After having it plugged into my Mac for about 20min it abruptly shut off.

The batter life lights won’t turn on and when my old cord is plugged in it flashes a faint alternating orange and green light.

I read some threads here and tried to unplug and replug my battery, but no luck.

Im assuming I need a new battery so I ordered one here just a few moments ago. But I’m concerned more serious damage was done to the logic board. Is there a way to find out if the logic board is the problem and not the battery?
