Where can I find an extra Tray/Sled?
I have an old (1.1) Mac Pro and I'm missing one of the sleds/trays. I can only find ones that will cost me 40 dollars. Can't find any on ebay either. Where can I buy one for the right price?

Посмотрите наш магазинThat's the Hard Drive Carrier Apple part number 922-7728. Here's seven available for $19 each: update 3/2013 new link: http://www.amazon.com/Mac-Hard-Drive-Car...
With older equipment you should join LEM swap. This is a google group for older Macs and you can buy or sell parts there. Good luck on your search.
LEM stands for Low End Mac.
I have just purchased 4 of these from Apple4less.com. based in Ireland. But you need to purchase the screws separately!!
Apple Part No. for the tray/sledge/caddy/bracket/carrier is: 922-7728.
Apple4less part code for the screws is: HDD-SCR-MP-2
I paid just over €14 for each tray, and an extra €7.50 for each set of 4 screws.
Note that earlier versions of MacPro (series 1-4) require a different, shorter tray than later versions. The quoted part number is for the shorter version. My MacPro is a 3.1
Good Luck!

8TB drives use a new screw pattern, and nobody sells the old 1,1 trays with the new screw pattern. Looks like we're being forced to get the new trays, and dust off the Dremel.
