my side by side refregirator is not cooling for days. Both the freezer and the fridge isn’t working but i can hear the fun running when I close the doors.
please help, what might be the problem

If freezer is not cold, then I would suspect the compressor is not running or is not compressing.
Icing up would cause the freezer to be cold but not the refer. The fan just circulates the cold from the freezer to the refer. Icing blocks that flow.

What is the model number of the refrigerator?
Is the compressor motor running?

You'll need to check a few basic things first. Is the evaporator fan motor running inside? Is the evaporator completely iced up? Is the condenser fan (underneath, usually accessible from the back of the fridge) running? Is the condenser coil covered in dust/pet hair?
