Laptop makes constant clink sound while Gaming
My laptop is a Lenovo Ideapad 320. Recently, it makes constant clink noise which sounds exactly like the sound it makes during a force shutdown. The noise is persistent like constant force shutdowns (but doesn’t shutdown) if I’m doing resource-intensive tasks like gaming, video editing. Other times, randomly two or three times when I’m doing light tasks, then the noise goes away. I’ve tried removing the battery and powering the laptop directly with the charging adapter but the noise is still there. A few things about my laptop are:
# I recently replaced my laptop battery, the new battery isn’t the same model but very similar (4000mAh vs original 4500mAh).
- During my last Windows 10 (not 11) installation, it never happened before, the installation process was taking an awfully long time like an hour or more where it only took 15 minutes for the previous installations. I was using the original .iso file.
- The cooling fan is not working well because for the last one year or so, I no longer hear the loud sound it used to make.
- I’m thinking of buying a new cooler fan, probably replacing the 4-year-old Seagate HDD, but I’m afraid that it could be a motherboard problem as well. What could be the cause?
