replacement screen is light incompatible
I recently bought a second hand replacement macbook pro retina display A1398 LATE 2013. from a reputable mac pars shop online. but unfortunately the insight connector is different. its very annoying as it took me a while to get it, they will accept returns, but i did get it for a good price and decent second hand pro retina screens are hard to come by.
it is strange because it is the same A number and should be compatible.
. i have checked the serial number specs on the apple website and also on everymac , both say the information I have is correct, but it spec doesn’t include information on the Isight connection.
is there anyway around this? can I swap the connector out? or any other work around?
everything else is as it should be.

When checking for compatibility one needs to look as the ID info not the Model designation! Here A1398 as that does not drill down deep enough!
As an example MacBookPro11,2 & MacBookPro11,3 are very similar other than one offers a dedicated GPU (DG) and the other only the intergraded one alone (IG) both share the same display. But the MacBookPro10,1 is not even close!
