I made this repair today without too much difficulty. I watched the following video to know what to expect. I kept the speaker attached to the cup which made the repair a little awkward to navigate, but nothing major.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ju4J-ZwK...
Gentle work with a plastic spudger will remove the right cup with a series of loud pops, then 8 screws to open the Power Button (right) side of the head phones. I used two jewelers' screwdrivers to remove the power connector of the original battery, which is held in place with generic VHB double-sided black tape underneath. Mine had begun to swell so this was a delicate operation with soft tools so as not to puncture anything.
As noted in the video and above by Israel Lopez, make sure the polarity of your battery connector matches the replacement. Mine did not, and I had to very gingerly remove the red and black pins, bend their retaining clip up a little (doesn't take much) and reinsert them into the JST connector to match the original. I did not find a need to remove the headphone PCB.
At this point I connected the battery before securing it down to make certain the headphones powered on. When they did, I secured the new battery with double-sided tape, placed a small, inside-out roll of painters tape on the top to sit between the speaker magnet and the battery itself, and reinstalled the cover with its eight screws, then the ear pad with another series of loud pops.
jayeffs battery information above is phenomenal, and with it I found this ~$7.00 1800mAH battery that fit perfectly with no modification necessary, and is a significant capacity upgrade.

thank you for your help
Thank you so much for posting your repair steps. I also used the battery you referenced in your repair, but I had to reverse the polarity on mine, even though the pictures on Amazon showed the correct polarity.
Thanks for the helpful guide, I was able to replace my battery too. I had to keep mine on charge permanently, and it would keep disconnecting, or struggle to connect. After the battery replacement it's good as new. Almost spent $150 on a new set, instead the fix cost me less than $10 :)
Just a few notes. The battery I ordered came with a larger connector, so I had to cut the connector from the old battery and solder onto the new one. Other than that, it was quick and easy.
I did the same repair just now. It worked like a charm for me. My other battery had become a spicy pillow after about 4 years of daily use. I ended up buying this battery from within Norway. The battery that I got to work was: CRH210sl. About 80% of the original capacity. But that degraded so fast that this feels the same and maybe better. I did have to change the polarity on the plug. Just make sure you have a tiny screwdriver for it. I used a flat bit in my set numbered 1.0. I think that's 1mm width. Out of a simple screwdriver phone repair set.

Thanks!
So I just performed this repair.
On amazon they now have HS70 batteries. Some of them are wired correctly. Others tell you to swap the RED and BLACK cables on the connector.
https://www.amazon.com/s?k=HS70+battery&...
You pull off the cups on the RIGHT side of the headset. Remove the small screws, then GENTLY, lift the speaker off the board, and leave to the side, there is VERY thin copper cables to the right speaker. You then unscrew the PCB that the battery connects to. Take care NOT to bend the pins when removing the battery connector from the PCB and the battery. Then gently remove the battery, it is glued in. Do not puncture the battery. In my case the battery was pregnart/swollen.
Then install your new battery, connect the battery cable again, carefully not to bend pins. Then install the PCB. Take care to make sure the wires/cables are in the same orientation and not tangled/routed incorrectly. Take a picture before you remove cables. Your new battery wire might be a bit short, so you may need to flip the battery so you can keep everything tidy. Re mount the pcb with its two screws. At this point I would try charging/turning on your headset before you fully close it up. If it boots from the battery, it may only last a minute or two. Then finish attaching the speaker, attach the cup, then charge for awhile.

I just wanted to say thank you so much for posting this guide. I attempted a repair of this headset yesterday using the EBL battery midoriryu referenced and it went well. I did not remove the PCB or the speaker cup, leaving those delicate wires attached. I did, however have to reverse the polarity of the EBL battery even though the pictures on Amazon showed the correct polarity. It was a bit of a pain, but I got through it. Hopefully this battery will last a bit longer, and if it doesn't, it is not an expensive replacement.

I have the same issue, i have had a little look on youtube and you can remove/ replace the padding easily as it just clips on and off.
When you do this it uncovers the screws. I would suggest that the battery replacement is fairly straightforward from there however you are gona want a reliable battery from a reputable source as a battery exploding in you headset would not be fun!
I havnt done it as ive no idea how to source the battery .

Hi,
Once you've gained access to the battery, check for the battery model number that is printed on the battery and then search for the model number to get suppliers, e.g. "(insert model number) battery"
If there is no model number there may be a 6 digit number plus the voltage. The 6 digits represent the dimensions of the battery in millimetres.
Search for that instead e.g. "(insert 6 digit number) 3.7V Lipo battery" Only suggest this as nowadays a lot of the smaller rechargeable batteries if not coin cell type are LiPo batteries..
The 6 digits are:
1st 2 digits are the depth (thickness) in mm which has the decimal point missing e.g. 25 = 2.5mm
The 2nd 2 digits are the width in mm and the last 2 digits are the length in mm. There is no missing decimal point for these two measurement
e.g. 253040 = 2.5mm x 30mm x 40mm.
This is an example only of the numbering and may not be the same for what is in your headphones if it is a LiPo battery.
The numbering system is the agreed convention used by all manufacturers
Cheers
Thank you for recomending the EBL 1800mAh 3.7V Replacement Sp 803048 Battery.
Other than having to adjust the battery wires, the procedure went smoothly.
I switched out the battery while replacing the headphone cushions with Wicked Cushions.

Anybody has an idea how to fix the scalp cushion /head band. I just bought a new one and even asked corsair for help, but couldnt find any instruction on how to replace the headband on the Corsair HS 70.
All the best,
Tilman

I replaced the battery in my headset with the EBL linked earlier (follow the instructions - polarity is revered). I don't think the rating is accurate. I did not notice any additional run time. The battery is already starting to go out after 8 months. I'll probably just order the same thing again simply due to the fact that batteries have become a nightmare compared to when we were younger and you just popped off the panel and dropped in some fresh AA's. Back then there were standards that caused competition and a drive for quality to compete. Now it seems there is only a drive for as cheap as possible to win the bid for a manufacturer and if we're lucky some no name brand might make something compatible (like the EBL). I also contacted the manufacturer of the baby monitor to see what other sources are of their official batteries. As I may try using one of them to see how it lasts - though it does look like they hot snot the wires into the connector so that could be a pain.
I could not add the image to my reply apparently so I added it here. This is the adapter I got. "3 in 1 Magnetic USB Cable FAST Charging Charger Sync Phone Micro B5 Type-C R1Q3"

To update, I've done that battery swap twice now. Then the left side of the headband where it attaches to the earcup bracket broke. It appears to be a pretty common failure point. I really should have gotten a different model but since I already had wicked cushions for this model and a sale popped up, I ended up getting a second. Though this time I got a magnetic USB-C adapter to use with my cell phone charger cable. It came with tips for mini-b, type c and lightning. I popped the mini-b into the headset charge port and I plug in the adapter to the cable and magnet it to the headset now. I think the earcup failure was from pulling it away from head to plug in the charger and this neat little $4 adapter should have that fixed. And bonus if I hit the cable, it just falls on the floor now instead of tugging the headset.
I've also done this repair but used another battery found on Amazon. This one: AOLIKES 3.7v 1800mAh Battery Replacement for Corsair Headset Void Pro RGB HS70 Pro Virtuoso RGB SE Wireless Gaming Headset - Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound Headphones and More : Amazon.ca: Electronics. It has resolved the issue with my battery but time will tell how long it lasts. I had some trouble with the replacement of the battery only because I can't see small stuff anymore as an "older" gentleman. Other than that the replacement went fine and I was able to swap the wires as others have mentioned to ensure that the polarity of the battery was correct before installing it into the headset. Overall, this could be a cheap replacement if it gives me another 3-4 years out of the headset. Thank you for posting this. Also shout out to my iFixit tools for doing the job!

Hi,
My sons Corsair Hs70 suddenly plays only sound from the left cup.
Now I’ve opened the right cup and the battery is swollen.
Is it possible that the right cup didn’t have any sound because the battery was to weak?
When I connected it to pc , the voice said: charging, 1 min after that charging completed.
But when I took the charging cable out it was only 31%….
Will a new battery fix the sound?
