Laptop is locked using bitlocker, is it possible to wipe it?

A customer brought this laptop in for E-Waste, and while registering items to go out I ran into an issue with it being bitlockered. We’re unable to wipe it due to drive encryption and can’t format the drive via diskpart or at the partition creation screen during a windows installation. Is there any way to delete everything?

A policy of my company is that if it can we reused, we wipe it, put a new OS on it and take it to the Boys & Girls club for the kids to use.
