How do I unlock my iPod Classic?

According to Apples support links you need to hook it up to the computer that it was set up on in order to unlock it. If you no longer have that computer you will need to reset up and restore the iPod from your current mac.

dont have a mac,I have a PC
Then use your PC. It works the same.
I no longer have the same computer & the I pod had all of my music on it unlike my I phone which I could not sync the iPods music to.
Yeah there is a program that I used forever ago like 2009 called ipod ripper. Looked it up and still exists, It auto removed DRM, and made it so you could upload files you downloaded from friends computers and sync it to your to your itunes. It even cleans up my Itunes and fills in missing album work https://download.cnet.com/s/ipod-ripper/

Toggle the "Hold" switch. Move the switch from "Off" to "Hold" and back to "Off" again.
Press and hold the "Menu" and "Select" buttons until the Apple logo appears. This may take up to 10 seconds, so be patient.
Release the buttons one the Apple logo appears and allow your iPod Classic to restart

he means the lock button on the top let corner
What do you mean by "hold" switch? Is that the home button on the front? So sorry to ask these questions

Just use a computer download itunes,and make a apple account,its free,plug it to computer,and do a restore,and after u get music and all back on it like u want,plug to computer every now and then ,do a backup,and all,also it will have new firmware updates for your device,goodluck

On my Ipod 360GB I turn the "hold" button to the off position and it still shows that my Ipod is locked...I have tried all of these suggestions and nothing seems to be working. I just now restored the Ipod but I cant select a language because even though the hold button is not on locked, the Ipod is still locked and will not allow me to use any of the buttons....Any suggestions?
