PS button not working. Flashes orange once but never charges

Got to admit I haven't used my ps4 for quite a while, recently started playing again and noticed one of my controllers doesn't turn on (nothing happens when i press the ps button, doesn't even blink lights). Charging doesn't help, when i charge it using a usb cable it only flashes orange once and the light goes away, I left it like that for a good 2 hours and when i tried turning it on again, same thing. My other controller works perfectly fine and the usb cable i use to charge the other malfunctioning controller works on this one. Tried about every tutorial i can find on youtube but keep getting dead ends. Any of you guys had similar problems?
