1 My trackpad will not click
I took my MacBook to the tech to replace its swollen battery.
When i took it back, i noticed that the trackpad isn’t able to click on its lower left corner, whilst all the rest worked perfectly. I must say that it was working fine despite the battery swelling before it was replaced, so I have a feeling that it wasn’t put together correctly… or not?
What do you think, might that be a trackpad malfunction (and if so, how can I check it) or something else

When a trackpad is damaged, does that mean that its not doing the clicking movement at all, or the click occurs but will not respond as an action

Depending on the series you can encounter different symptoms!
The older models used a hinge along the top edge, at the bottom edge was a blister switch which would create the click action.
The newer models like this one uses a hepatic feedback system so the applied pressure is sensed by the touch surface and then the hepatic engine kicks in to give you the click action. The action signal may not get sent to the logic board.
Try running the onboard diagnostics to see if an error popped.
