How to remove keys off of a MacBook air

i want to make sure before removing any keys by just pulling them off that there isn't any adhesive or anything i could damage by just pulling the keys off of the key board

the reason that im removing the keys is because of a large amount sugar got under the keys on the left side of the keyboard

I'm removing them to clean out a large amount of sugar that was spilled on the keyboard and got under the keys :C

@timtomissus Without being able to give a proper method to remove the keycaps efficiently, I can say that they are only held on by tiny plastic clips on butterfly hinges. These clips break very often, so be gentle.

Check out where the clips are before prying, just so you know exactly where to pry and minimize the chance of breaking clips.

Edit: my partner just informed me that you may have scissor switches, not butterfly keys.
