Dead backlight after replacing key

I replace my wife's C key on her 2017 Macbook Pro, because it was hanging by only one of the retention clips. After replacing all the components of the key, the backlight no longer works. Can this be corrected or has it been permanently damaged?

Ouch! Did you poke to deep and hard? There is a thin sheet which holds the tiny LEDs that light up the keyboard. You either hit the LED near the key or you punctured the foil trace which powers them

We don’t have a guide to get you down to it, but give this a view MacBook Pro 13" Function Keys Late 2016 Teardown all you need to do is get the logic board out as well as the fans and the Antenna bar which can be tricky if you don’t use the correct driver
