How to I take apart my laptop to reset its bios. at start up asks for password in pre start have been told that I need to reset bios by move a reset pin on board but have been unable to get unit open

The best way to reset BIOS is by opening your Laptop`s lower panel apart and you will see a tinny battery cell attached with a negative and positive wire via male female connector. All you need to do is to take that battery apart and also disconnect the power supply for like 10-20 mins the put everything back, this shall reset your BIOS and password etc as well.

You might also try and reflashing the BIOS. Sometimes that will remove the passwords
