Can the HDMI part be replaced?

Hello, I have bought this model used and noticed the hdmi being damaged (most of the pins are broken inside, I tried bending them back and while some are fine now, others broke off or are still not in the right position). I have opened the laptop up to check the logic board and bought some HDMI ports, but they are completly different from what's on the PCB.

I have searched for a replacement online but couldn't find anything. I fear even with a replacement, the heat needed to remove it would be too much.

Offtopic: I am aware I can use USB-C to hdmi, it's just to have it in perfect conditions.

Ouch! You really don’t need the HDMI port do you?

Yes, it would be nice, but the costs of either finding someone with the skills and tools to replace it as well as access to a replacement part will be difficult! That only leaves Gulp! Replacing the logic board😣😖 which is quite expensive!

Ok, so once in a blue moon you need that HDMI port, now what? Simple, get a USB-C to HDMI adapter using one of the USB-C ports!

But make sure the pins aren’t shorting out!

Yeah, that's what I was expecting. Thanks for your answer.

A separate offtopic question, for my curiosity. The logic board has this "weird" battery connector (in the ifixit guide it is reffered as "the battery connector), it is different from the other rippons and quite stiff. I was wondering, if someone would move it to different angles (let's say repairing the logic board multiple times and moving it up and down (when finished)), would it brake off similar to a metal bracket being bent a lot?

@ciprianflo33831 - Copper is a bit more malleable than aluminum or steel. So while I wouldn’t over do the bend back it should survive a good dozen bends without hardship which is assuming you replaced the battery four times in its life and a few other events.

To be clear here the amount of bend I do is as little as needed and I use a plastic pick to wedge between when I need to do something to the logic board to prevent it getting power.

Unless you can learn how to solder or find a professional, no
