Vertical lines minutes after replacing screen

My 2017 Macbook Pro decided to have an issue with the screen, similar to the one found in Vertical lines after dropping, though it was only when the lid was open at certain angles. A quick look online and a brief read said the problem was likely the screen, so I decided to replace the screen, getting from MacBook Pro 13" Retina (Late 2016-2017) Display Assembly the Used Premium screen, and after an amazingly quick delivery turn around of maybe a week, I was off to the races following the guide to replace the screen.

After following the instructions carefully, I was successful in replacing the screen, and it seemed to work perfectly, though less then 10 minutes of use and the screen started to show the issue in the image and I am absolutely confused. I reopened the macbook, rechecked everything against the pictures, and everything as far as I could see was identical to the images, nothing seemed off.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as I'd like to avoid having to pay a 3rd party to repair my repair, and also to learn what I missed

This looks like it could be an issue with the data lines going to the display panel. That could be a few things depending on where in the chain this issue is.

Does it do this at all angles? Close the lid and then open it slowly, see if you still get an issue.

Tried and no difference. The only thing of note is that when it does the Apple logo on boot (so plain white on the black background), it has only a single long white bar but the rest of the screen seems fine, then when it comes to the login screen the image is as per the picture

@marcuslim11346 Does the original screen exhibit this same behavior if you reinstall it? Or does it still do the same thing it did to start?

@flannelist So I reinstalled the original screen, and found that it doesn't have that issue, it has the issue that I originally changed it for (the screen had bars appear as I opened and closed it and at some angles it was ok but not always), but nothing like the new screen. I'm going to try and get around to installing the new screen again and see if the issue is there again, or if I've just installed it wrong the first time. I guess if the issue is still present, then I'll be sending an email to iFixit
