Why do battery get overheated in a short time of use
battery is getting very hot after a short time of being in use, is there anyway to trouble shoot the battery?

As batteries age, their resistance increases which means more energy is lost as heat when you try to discharge them, essentially this could just be the battery getting close to its end of life, the easiest option would be to replace the battery :)
