My lcd is broken and I found an id locked iPad 7 for cheap, can I put the lcd from the iPad 7 into my iPad 8, and is the lcd going to be affected by the id lock on the iPad

7th 8th 9th gen iPad use the same LCD, id lock from donor iPad won't affect the display functionality on new iPad.

Yes you can use the same LCD from the 7th, 8th and 9th Generations. The ID lock is something that is built into the software not the hardware. You shouldn't have any issues with the LCD.
