Dishwasher fills, but does not sense water and begin cycle

I have a countertop dishwasher, a Hermitlux, that is less than 2 mos old. Today it started having issues. It will fill with water, but then give empty tank code instead of beginning cycle. If I add water it fills again and leaks everywhere. It will successfully drain when I cancel the cycle. Their videos showed me how to take it apart and dry out the connector on the "flow meter" but following their directions had no effect. Customer service is non existent. Help!
