1RS fell off during battery replacement, fan on constantly

I recently replaced my battery, tested and it’s working fine.

I noticed when I initially removed the lower case a “1RS” was out of place. I’m not sure if this happened when I was removing the case.

  1. what is a 1RS?
  2. Can it be replaced (soldered back into place)
  3. Do I need a new part?

When I turned my MacBook on, the battery was working perfectly, charging etc, however the fan has been on constantly.

I’ve preformed a SMC, PRAM & NVRAM reset and the issue with the fan still exists.

@bmcdermott that is reference designator L3500 which is a PIM B062D-SM series 1.5UH 20% 12.5A 0.017OHM inductor. The series is hard to match but the inductor is available at places like this Even so the series is different, it will still fit the solder pads. If unsure of that download the datasheet for the inductor from the site I linked to and it will have the dimension for the solder pads on there. Does not look like it is related to your fan issue at all but it is part of the TBT 5V regulator circuit.
