Have you verified that there's still power available to the washer? Try disconnecting/reconnecting the power cord from the wall outlet and then check if the power button at least turns on any lights, on the washer.
If still no good make sure that the wall outlet is working by plugging in another device e.g. hair dryer, to make sure it does work.
