If I leave my TV off for more then maybe a day, it won't turn unless I unplug and plug it back in. It won't turn on whether I use the power button on the remote or the set.

@diodeinc could be an issue with an EEPROM on the main board or even the power board. Let us know what exact model you have so we can try and determine how to help you further. If you can, consider removing the back cover from your TV and take a couple of good pictures of your individual boards. That way we can see what you see. Adding images to an existing question
